3rd Annual “Cerebral Cinema” Film Screening Premiere Event Benefiting the Community Counseling Center
Dive into the world of fantasy and imagination with Alice and her fantastic friends as they journey through their newest adventure in Wonderland at the 3rd Annual “Cerebral Cinema” film screening event hosted by Community Counseling Center (CCC), a mental health nonprofit serving San Luis Obispo County.
The screening of Alice Through the Looking Glass, sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland, will take place on Friday, May 27at 8:00 p.m. and will showcase not only an entertaining film at the historic Fremont Theater in downtown San Luis Obispo, but also a creative look into a few common mental health themes such as madness, fantasy and positive psychology. The event will also feature pre-screening activities for VIP cinema guests that include tapas served by local chef Robert Paul Johnson and beverages poured from renowned wineries. The pre-screening activities for VIP guests begin at 6:00 p.m. and doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for general admission guests. All funds raised from the event will benefit the CCC.
For decades, CCC has provided premium mental health counseling for low to moderate income and under-insured residents of the Central Coast. CCC’s mission is to build and support emotionally strong families, individuals and community through confidential, affordable counseling, education and advocacy.
