Here’s what happens when you visit Old Juan’s on December 7
All you have to do is order and enjoy, and you’ll be contributing to the construction of a very special community resource!
Every December, local Mexican restaurant Old Juan’s Cantina cooks up a delicious way for residents to give back to a nonprofit organization. This year, it’s all going down on one day: Thursday, December 7. The restaurant has pledged to donate half of all sales that day to the Jack Ready Imagination Park.
The Jack Ready Imagination Park is being built in Nipomo, CA. It’s a universally accessible park with the vision that children of all ability levels will soon be able to play together.
Features such as a sensory garden, wheelchair accessible play structures and a therapeutic equestrian center will open the doors for children with disabilities and special needs to experience the joy of outdoor play alongside their friends and family members. It’s a place where the whole family can spend time together and no one is unable or excluded.
The initiative to build the park is spearheaded by Jack’s Helping Hand, a nonprofit organization that supports families whose children have cancer, disabilities and special needs.
There are many ways to support the construction of the park – but this opportunity is just too delicious to pass up. Whatever you order on December 7, half of your purchase will go straight to supporting the effort! We’re talking lunch, dinner, dessert or one of Old Juan’s margaritas that just won Best of SLO County.
Old Juan’s cooks family recipes that incorporate dishes and sauces from Guanajuato, Mexico. If you need help visualizing your part in the fundraiser, allow us to help you out:
