A champagne reception at Hearst Castle’s famous Neptune Pool, a delicious gourmet dinner and live music at the Hearst Ranch Dairy Barn, and amazing auction items to peruse and bid on. All to raise money for a treasured and much-needed community asset: the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center.
This Saturday, April 6, Steve and Barbara Hearst will host the 12th annual Share the Hope event to benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC). The center was established in 2008 with the support of the Hearst Family to educate and comfort those living with cancer and their families. The funding from the Hearst Foundation and various donors allows the HCRC to provide support programs, patient navigation, and much more at no cost to patients.
This year’s benefit features many amazing items up for bid. Event-goers will bid against each other for an exclusive swim for 10 in Hearst Castle’s indoor Roman Pool, 2 VIP tickets to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York City, a Labrador puppy, and more! All of the items bid on will directly help provide more and more free services to more and more community members living with cancer.
Share the Hope has been highly successful at helping the HCRC reach their annual fundraising goals. Last year alone, Share the Hope raised over a million dollars! The funds from this event quite literally share the hope with members of our community.
