The 24-Hour Give is Back, With an Exciting New Addition
On top of a complete rebrand, we’ve got a goal to collect 100 financial and in-kind donations for a deserving nonprofit organization in our community.
Let’s back up. For the third year in a row, a nonprofit is going to receive a complete rebrand in 24 hours. And we’re the ones that are crazy enough to do it. With the help of some incredible community partners, of course.
This year’s recipient is the Senior Nutrition Program of San Luis Obispo County, a nonprofit that provides free daily meals to seniors. Not only do they prepare noontime meals in dining rooms where seniors eat and experience community with one another, but volunteers also deliver meals to homebound seniors, which ensures these seniors are checked in on every day.
From November 10-11, we’re going to create a new logo, a complete set of marketing materials, a series of print, radio and TV ads, and social media and marketing plans to carry Senior Nutrition Program’s new brand forward. Media partners are stepping in to donate media time to run the ads, Red Canary is creating a set of PSA videos and Liftoff Digital is creating a brand new website. All pieces of this rebrand will contribute to enhanced recognition of who the nonprofit is, what they provide for the community and what they need, so that they can gain the visibility necessary to ensure support and keep doing their amazing work. The rebrand is valued at more than $80,000.
We announced the winning nonprofit last week, but we’ve got another announcement, too.
We’re adding a new piece to the 24-Hour Give: the Give-a-thon!
Why not make this gift overwhelmingly, over-the-top huge for the Senior Nutrition Program? During the 24-hour period, we’ll be taking donations for them – both financial pledges and in-kind gifts that relate to their needs.
We’ll have Verdin employees and volunteers manning the phone lines and taking pledges between 8am on November 11 and 8am on November 12. You’ll also be able to email in a financial pledge. And we’ll be collecting in-kind donations in our office the whole time, too. Senior Nutrition Program is in need of items that can be given as holiday gifts to seniors, such as blankets, scarves, gift cards and books.
Don’t hesitate to make an appearance at our Give-a-thon and drop off an item that would mean something to a senior this holiday season!
Lots of preparations are underway, but we can’t wait to dive in on November 10. We hope you feel the excitement too. You’ll receive updates about the Give-a-thon on our social media accounts, so be sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
It will take a community to reach 100 donations – so join with us in making this happen!
