SUMMARY:
In 2023, Verdin began working with Walnut Creek Arts + Rec to craft a robust communications plan and public relations strategy. The department’s goal was to increase awareness of their initiatives and programs while also educating the community about their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

- Reached 1,105 journalists and generated 1,126 journalist engagements
- Created a sponsorship package to support local partnership development
- Launched paid media efforts to amplify awareness of programs and initiatives
